Project Platformer - Basic Information and goals

In terms of overall design, I'm aiming to make something like a middle ground between a simple platformer (that is, one where you simply progress left to right, and from level 1 to level 2, etc) and a full metroidvania.

There will be a main hub area and from there the player can teleport to the initial levels and explore them in any order they like. The levels themselves won't be interconnected like in a true metroidvania, although I could make a few exceptions like secret entrances and areas.

In order to open up more levels and progress in the game, the player will have to find items and solve puzzles. Sometimes a boss will have to be defeated first, other times just collecting the right items will open up more areas.



I'll probably make a simple RPG stats progression for the player character, but nothing too fancy like grinding exp and leveling up. Instead while exploring one can find items that permanently boosts attack or defense, and also some special skills that can be equiped and used at the player's discretion.

As for erotic content, it will be in the same style as PPG, with sprite animations and lots of variation in fetishes, but with some key differences/additions:

  • Grabbing animation. Most enemies will now try and grab the main character and during this the player will have to struggle to be released.
  • Common CG: Every enemy will have its own CG, instead of just bosses.
  • Ero escape: Since in this game there will be a health bar, the player can struggle to escape from the ero animation.
  • Fetish toggle: This time there will be a configuration screen where the player can turn on/off certain fetishes to suit their needs.
  • Enemy ero interaction: I'm thinking about making certain enemies attack some other specific enemies and initiate ero moves on them, or maybe have some gangbangs like the main character is being grabbed by one enemy, then another approaches and initiates a different gangbang animation.
The current short term goal is to have a playable alpha release early next year, with most of the basic stuff in it, in order to get some feedback from the community and then proceed from there.

  2. Just wanna let you know that I'm looking forward to your progress. People don't really interact much on blogs so I hope that isn't discouraging or anything. I'm sure once you have a playable alpha and you can post it to the forums you'll generate a following quickly.
    Have you already worked on some of the H-content and got anything to show?
    Will the heroine still lose her boots every now and then, if you catch my drift?

      No ero content at the moment, but when I release the prototype there will definitely be at least 1 hentai animation. And yes, the heroine will lose her boots sometimes, as I do catch your drift ;-)
